La Maison de la Pinatelle
The nature and environment leaning centre at Chalinargues.
Find out everything you need to know about volcanoes, smell and listen to forest life, fly over the Mont du Cantal ridges; understand the different landscapes, and their link with man…Thanks to ingenious and innovative displays , children and adults will be able to open their minds and senses to nature, and take a new look at their environment.
Open all year from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm
For the little ones
On your arrival each child will receive a quiz. During the visit, children will become detectives. They will find clues that will help them to solve puzzles, interpret signs, and identify different animals and plants.
Learning workshops are organized every Thursday for the 5 to 11 year olds

La Maison de la Faune
La Maison de la Faune is a beautiful old mansion set in the heart of Murat. It exhibits 8000 life like beetles and butterflies, as well as 800 other mammals or birds of prey.
July and August: open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 7pm. On Sundays from 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
During the school holidays: open everyday from 10 am to 12pm and from 2 pm to 6pm.

Fixed visits pass
This pass gives you access to 4 activities at reduced rates. You will be able to use the audio guide which details the 13 townships that make up the Pays de Murat, including a guided visit of the medieval citadel: Murat, and also access to La Maison de La Faune and to La Maison de la Pinatelle.
Passes are available at the reception of the Tourist Office Intercommunal de Murat, Neussargues, Chalinargues and Le Lioran
