Organised by Le Lioran’s Tourist office, accompanied by 2 guides, these activities are free of charge.

 

Farm visits

Organised during the school holidays, these visits are particularly suited to young children. The visit explains the milking process and how cheese is made. Possible to sample cheeses.

Learning workshops

During July and August the museum section of the Nature and Environment learning centre at Chalinargues, La Maison de la Pinatelle, is a child zone. Set workshops are proposed every Thursday for the 5 to 11 year olds.

There are three main elements to this workshop: firstly a story specially made up to illustrate the magic of the surrounding landscape, secondly a learning game based on the five senses, and lastly an outdoor odd one out hunt around La Maison de la Pinatelle.

With the leaders’ encouragement children will discover a fun way of learning about the beauty ,but also the problems facing  the surrounding environment .The children should realise that we have to look after the environment at all costs and at all ages.

The activity lasts 1 ½ hours from 10am to 11.30am
