Lulled by the sound of the River Alagnon, this village of 256 inhabitants is a real harbour of peace. It is overlooked by the distant Château du Jarousset, which dates back to the 16th century.
You will appreciate the residential atmosphere and it is just a stone’s throw away from Murat.

  The hamlet of Gaspard. The country style stone houses with thick slate roofs and the village oven are among some of the interesting features that you will be able to discover. The quality of the architecture and the surroundings make this charming little village a place that merits a visit.  





Water

Angling 
The River Alagnon has flat stretches, waterfalls and rapids .You can go fly fishing on the parts of the river that run through the village .Its waters are very clear which class it as one of the best fishing rivers in Europe.

The selective courses for anglers offer the opportunity of catching a rare species; the European Grayling, but also the Feral Trout, the Minnow, the Burbot and the Gudgeon.

Other interesting features

The church
Among the buildings you will discover a christening font with a carved wood opening system. The gothic decoration on the little wooden doors is remarkable. It apparently dates back to the 17th century. There are some very interesting buildings.
