Birthplace of the poet Camille Gandihon Gens d’Armes, this village of 102 inhabitants is the nearest to Puy Mary. It has fine views over the Haut Val, where the Santoire has its source.
You will appreciate its beautiful situation in the heart of the Santoire valley.

  The Buron du Col de Cabre dates back to 1721; it is the oldest in the massif. It is situated within a glacial cirque; home to chamois and wild sheep which you can observe from the mountain ridges.

Les fours du Peyre Arse, 5 and ½ hours, 600m gradient
La vallée de l’Impradine, 2 hours, 5.5km (yellow route) 130m gradient. Leave from La Gravière and follow a pathway along the valley, in the footsteps the Cantalian poet; Camille Gandihon Gens d’Armes. (1871-1948)
Around Lavigerie, 4 hours (blue route) 140m gradient Leave from La Gravière
Col de Serre, Puy de Niermont, 7 hours, 20 km (green route) 450 m gradient

Snow

Cross country skiing
The village is very close to the Col de Serre from where the Haut Cantal Nordic Domaine begins. The Domaine has 78 km of runs that have been way marked and made safe, they have been prepared for traditional skiing or skating.

Nordic pleasures

Steam bath, sauna and Nordic baths.
This infrastructure is open from 11 am to 7 pm on a two hourly basis. It is advisable to reserve in advance, especially for groups. (Maximum capacity of 14 people)
